Every year, thousands of people in North America leave for work and never come home. Millions more come home, but they are sick or injured.  
Preventable deaths and on-the-job accidents kill nearly 5,000 people every year in the U.S. according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and a recent report issued by the AFL-CIO found another 50,000 для 60,000 died annually from diseases caused by workplace injury and exposure to dangerous environments.

Immigrants Of All Skill Levels Spur Job Creation

The American Enterprise Institute and Partnership for a New American Economy, например, found that every time 100 additional less-skilled, legal, non-agricultural workers are admitted to a given state, 464 jobs are created for U.S. born workers; For every 100 additional high-skilled H-1B (includes STEM fields and requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent) работников, 183 jobs are created for native-born workers in the same state.

How much it costs ICE to deport an undocumented immigrant

President Trump has said he wants to deport two to three million criminal undocumented immigrants. While it’s unclear where he got that figure from, achieving his goal won’t come cheap.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement is one of two agencies within the Department of Homeland Security that’s already playing a pivotal role in enacting Trump’s mission. One of ICE’s main jobs is to apprehend undocumented immigrants who have received their final deportation orders or who have failed to report to the agency as instructed.

Undocumented husband of Indiana Trump supporter deported to Mexico

Helen Beristain voted for Donald Trump even though she is married to an undocumented immigrant.

In November, she thought Trump would deport only people with criminal recordspeople he calledbad hombres” — and that he would leave families intact.
I don’t think ICE is out there to detain anyone and break families, no,” Beristain told CNN affiliate WSBT in March, shortly after her husband, Roberto Beristain was detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Congressman Bennie Thompson introduces bill to prevent Daniela Vargas deportation

Репутация. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, introduced a private bill to prevent the deportation of Daniela Vargas, a DACA recipient from Jackson, Миссисипи.

Vargas was taken into custody last month by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after participating in a public media event to protest the Trump Administration’s immigration policies.  She was released nine days later from a detention center in Louisiana but an order for her removal remains active.
