参议院法案 2306 (SB 2306) is bad for public safety, bad for local

Civic Engagement Day 2016

一月 5, 2016
One of our most important actions every year is Civic Engagement Day, when MIRA and allies lead immigrants, 积极分子, and progressives to the Capitol for a demonstration and a chance to connect with legislators and discuss important issues. We have great success each year when we meet with the legislators – it builds relationships and develops new allies.
This year, Civic Engagement Day is February 24, 2016, and preparations are well underway. We are mobilizing groups along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in the Central Mississippi region, and have

Looking Forward to 2016 – Your Support is Desperately Needed.

一月 4, 2016
It’s late, and you’re tired. On your way home from work, you take a right onto your street, but you forget to switch on your turn signal. 2015 Mississippi Legislative Session Report Card

六月 16, 2015
Each year at the end of the legislative session, the Mississippi Human Services Coalition analyses the work of legislators and their effect on the lives of Mississippi’s “ordinary” residents. Active for decades, the coalition is made up of human service organizations who meet weekly during the sessions to share information on proposals they care about. Together, this informal coalition of about 50 groups join together to fight for or against targeted proposals. MIRA has been an active part of this coalition for the 15 years it has existed. …
